I suppose to review this Cuddly Buddies Burp Cloth & Bib long ago as I received this lovely bib along with the organic nursing pad which I have reviewed last September. Boy, that was quite sometime. I owe an apology to Angelia, owner of baby-mel.com for taking so long to review this item. My reason was that Baby Hazlami would only starts solid at 6 months and I further delayed because I wanted Baby Hazlami able to sit properly and stable so this bib can be properly multi-used from the way I looked at it firsthand.
Angelia told me rather to wait and use it as bib alone, I can use it as burp cloth. Initially I planned to do so but it just that Baby Hazlami does not need any bib, as he hardly had any drool. Anyhow, true enough as what being informed to me, this bib is quite long and wide and its usage does'nt have to be as a bib. Its innovative shapes would fit completely over the shoulder as a
burp towel. If its picture alone, does'nt describe clearer perhaps picture of its wearer makes more sense.
It is just great if you are into baby-led weaning at times like me since I still made purees and semi soft porridege. Long enough and secure tight. Soft and drape over baby's body nicely. Plus, it won't restrict baby's movement like those bib made out of plastic which to me is definite turn-off and looks like baby can prone to be strangle by it. Another thing too, simply easy to put on by just one snap from the back strap attached.
The one that I received patterned as giraffe on lime. All this range of in-house product of baby-mel.com usually is organic material so this is one among others. It is made from one layer of designer prints super soft Cuddly Minky or fun prints 100% Cotton flannel combined with high quality, super soft and Certified Organic Bamboo Velour nature colour, un-dyes as backing material.
From their site, this cuddly buddies has being suggested for other usage like Stroller liner, Nursing cover, Diapers changing mat (While you on the go).
My other concern for a bib or burp cloth is that would it be stain-resistant? Allowing baby to feed by themselves with close monitoring can be such a challenge especially how messy it could get. So off it went for cleaning and I was amazed, messy stains just disappeared. Priced at RM 68.90, it is worth to keep for its functional, handy and quality fabrics.
Guaranteed all fabrics used by them are pre-washed without using chemical detergent. as they use chemical free washing method. (The Green Pocket Laundry Ball).
Now, Baby Hazlami at 7 months plus, his cuddly buddies bib would be among must-have items especially when we are out and about.
